The backrest is made of high-strength steel wrapped in high-grade upholstery with cushion foam sandwiched in between. This ensures a secure and comfortable restraining of the pillion in the event of a sudden acceleration. The backrest is shaped not only to complement the sophisticated looks of the Bajaj NS/AS 200, but also to be helpful in grabbing and moving the bike around in a parking space, and also to be a provision to grab and lift the heavy bike up in case of a fall.
